Pawious™ XEdge GPS Dog Fence - Advanced Virtual Boundary System

We have a lazy old golden and a young pointer who thinks every squirrel is a personal mission. Putting them on the same warning level made no sense. With this I made one shared boundary first, then changed the warning intensity for each collar. The lab gets sound mostly, the pointer gets sound and vibration because he needs the reminder. I was surprised how much easier training got once I stopped treating them like the same dog.

Our husky has defeated every barrier we ever tried. The pre-boundary warning stopped her completely. She now respects the zone without any fuss � still feels like a miracle tbh.

Our yard is basically an L with a weird extra patch behind the shed. Every basic fence option was wrong. This one let me draw around the usable grass and skip the narrow part by the neighbors driveway. It took me maybe 30 minutes the first time because I kept adjusting it, but now its saved and easy. My dog gets sound first, then vibration if she keeps pushing. She learned the line faster than I expected.

We go to a cabin twice a month and there is no fence, just open grass and a gravel road. Before this, our dog was on a long line the whole time and tangled himself around chairs. Now I make a custom safe area around the cabin and keep the boundary away from the road. We still walk him around it when we arrive, because he needs the reminder, but then he can hang outside with us. Not having him tied to the porch is honestly worth it.

This sounds small but it was a big deal in our house. My wife has these flower beds along the fence and our dog would run straight through them every morning. I made a keep away strip there and left the rest of the yard open. They got warned a few feet before the bed, turned, and after a few days they just stopped going that way. Wife is happy. I am no longer getting blamed for paw prints.

barn on one side, feed shed on the other, gravel lane right through the middle. a circle fence would be dumb here. I made the safe area around the property. setup was not instant but it was not awful either. after training, he knows where to go. damn nice not yelling across the yard every hour.

We live on a two lane road and people fly down it. I was nervous letting our shepherd out even with us nearby. I shaped the boundary so the road side sits way back, then made the back field much wider. He gets the warning before the boundary, which is the only reason this worked for him. If it warned after he crossed it would be too late. Took 9 or 10 days of practice, but now he slows down before the line like he knows the deal.

tried two other wireless fences that could not handle our irregular corners. polygon tool on this one traced the actual shape in ten minutes. escape-free since day one.

spent ages looking for something with polygon drawing AND dual fence modes. most systems have one or the other. this has both and they work. that combination was the reason we bought it.

I set this up at our house first and then made a separate boundary for my dads place where he watches the dog sometimes. His yard is totally different, more open with one dangerous road side. It took a weekend of reminder walks, but our dog picked it up. I like that the boundaries can be different depending where we are. My dad is not techy at all, so I kept it simple for him and wrote down which fence to use. works fine.

dog gets a heads-up five feet before the actual line. she hears it, turns around, done. she has mostly stopped pushing toward the boundary at all. it taught her to stay away from the edge rather than just responding to it.

our spaniel is super noise sensitive so we ran her collar on the softest setting. the lab needed something firmer. the fact that you can set each collar independently instead of one-size-fits-all saved us a lot of trial and error.

individual zones for two of them and a shared zone for the third with one of the others. the per-collar intensity adjustment made training three dogs with different temperaments much less chaotic.

main yard is keep-inside. added a keep-away ring around the raised beds. both modes run at the same time and the dog respects both without getting confused. zero casualties among the tulips.

signal has not shifted, containment is solid, pre-warning works. only thing is the collar strap was a bit rigid on our smaller dog for the first couple of weeks. softened up after regular wear.

started with just the beep for the pre-boundary warning and added a soft buzz a week later once she had settled into it. being able to control the type of alert AND the strength of it separately for each collar was something i used throughout the whole training period. one dog is noise sensitive so she ran on the softest setting. the other is a lab who needed something firmer. having that per-collar dial meant working with two very different personalities at the same time actually made sense instead of finding a compromise that barely worked for either of them.

traced it about four feet short of the water. dog loops around the entire patio now without being prompted. been six weeks. not a single approach to the pool area unsupervised.

We set the no-go zone about four feet back from the edge of the pool. Our retriever learned it surprisingly quickly and now just walks around that whole area. Its been about six weeks and she hasnt tested that boundary again.

I was so tired of paw prints through the herb bed. I used keep away around the herbs and compost, then left the rest of the yard open. My dog acted betrayed at first, like I removed his personal salad bar. After a few tries he just stopped going there. The warning starts before the zone, which gives him time to turn without getting confused. Its been about a month and the basil is still standing. miracle.

Delivery trucks were my problem. My dog hears one and thinks he has been hired for security. With this I shaped the boundary so the driveway side is pulled back, but the field side is still big. That was impossible with the round fence we had before. We trained with flags, then removed them after he got the sound cue. He still barks because of course he does. But he barks from the grass now instead of sprinting toward tires, which is a huge improvement.

Our dog is usually filthy by lunchtime, whether its mud, puddles or wet grass. After two months of that, the collar is still working perfectly. No problems with water getting into the charging port or affecting how it works.

I kept checking the fence line for the first week because I expected it to shift a bit. It never did. Its still right where I originally set it, and our dog hasnt come close to crossing it. I honestly expected more variation from a wireless system.

we have this weird L-shaped property and every other fence system just gave us a circle that chopped off half the lot or went into the neighbor side. drew it freehand along our actual fence line and it just... worked. dog has stayed in for three weeks straight.
