The product lives up to its description. It boasts a good range and impressive battery life before requiring a recharge. Surprisingly, I've rarely had to use the shock feature, and when I did, it was only at a very low setting. As a result, I've removed the shock prongs altogether. The beep and occasional use of the vibrate function are more than sufficient to elicit the desired response from my dog!
