I recently purchased the wireless dog fence system for my trio of dogs: a 2-year-old yellow lab, a 3-year-old German Shepherd, and a 3-year-old husky. Living in the suburbs of a large city, with around 1 acre of land, I needed a reliable solution to keep my adventurous trio from wandering off for hours chasing neighbor cats and squirrels.

After following the training guide, I was pleasantly surprised by how quickly Roxy, the German Shepherd, grasped the concept. She responded promptly to the sound warning, showcasing her intelligence. Although the lab and Husky received a shock once or twice, they soon learned to respect the boundaries marked with flags. Here some pros and consofof this fence based on my experience so far:

Pros:
1. Control for All 3 Dogs with One Transmitter - managing all three dogs with one transmitter has been incredibly convenient. The settings work seamlessly for all three, providing consistent control.
2. Great Accuracy - I've noticed minimal deviation, perhaps 1-2 feet at most, which is even more accurate than the wireless dog fence from Petsafe that I used previously.
3. Forbidden Area Mode and Training Mode - while I don't use these features often, they're invaluable when needed.
4. Real-Time Tracking - The ability to track the position of all three dogs in real-time is nice thing to have. The screen always shows how far away each dog is.

Cons:
1. Circular Area Shape Only - one limitation of the system is its circular area shape, which may not be suitable for all yard layouts.
Battery Life of Receivers - the battery life of the receivers could be improved. Lasting only 2 days, I find myself charging them overnight every other night. A longer battery life would be more convenient.

I really wish I had invested in this containment system sooner! Despite being hesitant about the price, especially since I needed to purchase an extra collar for our other dog, I finally caved and bought it after a month and a half of deliberation. Our dogs had become increasingly persistent in escaping the backyard, barking at neighbors, and chasing cars. Living in a rural area with neighboring dogs exhibiting similar behavior, I felt compelled to be a more responsible pet owner.

Installing the main unit and collars was straightforward, but adjusting the unit to the correct range took some time. After placing flags at the approximate range of their new "approved area," I spent about 15 minutes training our two dogs. Whenever the collar alarm sounded, I guided them back towards the house and rewarded them. Surprisingly, that was all the training they needed! Within just one day, even if we forgot to put their collars on, they stayed close to the front porch. While they could still venture out of the backyard, they always returned to the front porch.

No more upsetting neighbors on walks, and no more car-chasing! Now, I can rest assured knowing they won't leave the property. While they experienced a few shocks during the initial training, set at the lowest level, it was effective in teaching them boundaries. I couldn't be happier with this product! In the end, it was worth every penny, providing me with peace of mind knowing my dogs are always under control on my property.

For reference, I have a hefty 70-pound black Labrador and a 60-pound Husky, and it works seamlessly for both of them. With nearly an acre of land, the range of this system is impressive.

The screen showing how far the dog is from the base is handy. Not fancy, just clear enough so I know when she is getting close to the edge. Our yard is mostly open and the collar has been steady there. Battery gets through our normal day outside.

correction-free reentry means she can return inside the boundary without triggering another alert on the way through. made the whole training process feel much fairer. she stopped hesitating about coming back.

Collar loses signal and my dog gets out EVERYDAY! I have made NUMEROUS attempts to contact customer support but the live chat and the phone number NEVER work. I can’t even return the stupid fence! Total waste of money!! I have watched videos and read the manual- I have done everything to remediate this problem with no help from the company. This is a total scam!!’

I didnt even think Id use the forbidden area mode much. wrong. My dog kept sniffing around the grill and trash corner like a little idiot. I made that spot off limits and he backed off after a couple tries. Main yard fence works good too.

works now, but first spot was bad. I had it too close to the metal shed and the boundary got weird. moved the transmitter inside by a window and made the circle a bit smaller. after that my dog learned it fine. taking one star cause setup took more fiddling than I expected.

my boxer used to bolt off the porch every time a truck came down the lane. I set the circle smaller than I first wanted and put the transmitter by the back window. took a few evenings of training, not gonna lie, but now the tone gets his attention before he gets too far. no wire in the yard and no app nonsense, which I like.

being able to glance at the transmitter and see exactly how far the dog is from the boundary made early training much easier. reward when close, reinforce when drifting. really helpful during the first ten days or so.

We switched from an older radio fence and the difference was obvious. The boundary has been much more consistent, and our border collie hasnt escaped in over a month.

placed the transmitter, set the radius, done. no digging, no wire, nothing to install. collar lasts about a day and a half with active daily use and charges overnight.

works for our open yard. set the range, trained the dog, done. way better than burying wire

open yard reads accurately. under the covered porch near the boundary line the signal fluctuates enough to cause inconsistent alerts. moving the transmitter slightly helped but didnt fully fix it.

our vizsla needs a lot of room and this covers our full property without any issues. the correction levels are adjustable which was important for finding the right setting for her temperament.

the system works well when the transmitter has a clear line of sight. we had to move it away from a brick wall before the range became consistent. once relocated it has been very reliable.

my dog used to shoot out toward the driveway like a maniac when UPS showed up. Set the circle a bit smaller and used training mode for a few nights. now he stops at the beep and just yells from the grass. annoying still but safer lol

Took 10 mins. Dog needed 4 days. yard is calmer now.

our backyard is full of tree roots and burying wire was not an option. this wireless fence went up in under an hour and works perfectly. radar signal is stable across our whole property.

The fence part is fine, but the no-go zone around my fire pit is the real win. My dumb sweet dog kept trying to sniff ashes and steal sticks from there. I set the forbidden area, walked him close a couple times, and he figured out that spot is off limits. I like having one remote instead of doing everything on my phone. Battery made it through our Saturday outside too.

We used it at our camper last weekend. Not perfect fancy magic, you still gotta watch your dog, but damn it helped. Made the area around the chairs and picnic table and kept him away from the little creek side. He still dragged a pine cone into the tent somehow. 5 stars because he did not run into the road once.

battery gets a full charge in about two hours and runs for several days. we take it camping and it is just as reliable away from home as it is in our backyard.

works fine in the open sections of the property. the signal drops a bit when the dog gets near our metal outbuilding. not a huge issue but something to be aware of before buying.

It does the job in our backyard and I love not burying wire. Im taking one star off because the remote has more buttons than I expected and I had to keep checking the book. After setup, its been reliable. My 55 lb dog wears the collar fine, but I wouldnt call it small.
