Around 7 years ago, we spent a lot of money to install a wired fence around our property. As the system aged, we faced some issues and had to make service calls due to failures, which allowed our 4 dogs to venture outside the boundaries. The cost of these service calls became more expensive than newer technology options.
After researching and talking to others who had radio transmitters, we found that they experienced problems with interference and dead spots, making it difficult to correct their pets' behavior.
After reading many reviews, we decided to try the Pawious GPS collar. I set the Pawious GPS center radius close to the center of the old perimeter and let the dogs test it. The leader of our dog pack decided to explore outside the boundary the next morning. Although I couldn't see her reaction, I heard it, and she came back home. Later in the day, she attempted another escape route. I warned her to stop and called her back several times, but she ignored me until she reached the boundary line.
I'm not sure if she received a shock or just a warning, but she quickly returned home.
I've been using the Pawious GPS F810 collar for a few weeks now, and I'm very satisfied with this simple wireless solution.
